Yup you're right.. I just don't want to be a total pest..LOL I think Adam does a great job on this song.... Of course when doesn't he do a GREAT job I think Barracuda is lower in view count because many, like me, wanted to see all of the Adam parts from this episode. A Vimeo circulated that got the extra plays IMO.

Ok, I gonna fly blind here because I very uncharacterically am going to post without reading the threads for the last two days, but is that Adam singing in the snippet? Because if so, they have totally processed his voice to be as mediocre as the other members of the Glee cast. I was a big fan of Glee its first season, but as someone who was around for the original rendition of the songs from all the decades, I never really understood why the covers would sell so well--especially covers of songs that were just released a few months earlier (Rihanna's Umbrella, e.g.). And I always bristled at how processed the vocals were. I am apparently a dinosaur who prefers when someone sings into a microphone and the sound comes out unadulterated or when someone goes blam-blam-blam and the notes come right out on a guitar. Bizarre, I know. And Q3, what an eye-opener on your epic commentary on how music gets made these days (if you really want to know--I didn't but suspected and kudos to you for bringing it all into focus!) I am looking forward to Queen and Adam without nets and tracking tapes and I really am foreseeing a return to actual performance and emotion--warts and bad notes and all, like it used be. Prolly totally wrong about that though, lol, won't be the first time! I thought it was not Adam at first also. But I don't think it's because they have processed his voice. It's just his gentle tone without the rasp added--something we have not heard much of for a long time. Think musical theater--Come to Me, Bend to Me--tone quality. Also, I'll be pretty sure the whole song will not sound like other members of the Glee cast. Me, too. Upon first listen I thought, "Which cast member is that?" But, after several listens I realized it was Adam. It does not sound processed to me (but I know little about what they do to enhance/alter voices besides autotuning), rather, it sounds like Adam singing lightly and naturally. Much of the time these days, Adam not only adds the occasional rasp to his voice, but he also shades it to have more of a piercing, slightly metallic tone. It is more rock, and cuts thru the instrumentation better. This natural, resonant, gentle tone is beautiful, and I am anxious to hear the rest of the song.

Since a few people have now chimed in on the vocal processing for Glee/Adam, remember that Adam prefers "processing" especially when he sings live. He always insists on having quite a bit of reverb on his vocal mic for concerts--sometimes an annoying amount for me. He has sad that he wants this. That is an enhancement in my opinion.

How bizarre. I had no trouble at all recognizing Adam. Of course I remember people having trouble with FYE (song) thinking it was processed but I always felt it was just the way he was coloring his voice. I think he even said later in an interview that he was deliberately styling the vocal for FYE after Michael Jackson. As others have said I found this to be right in line with lighter songs like CTMBTM and "I Just Love You", just a light easy tone.

Not crazy about the song, but I am sure I will be after I see it performed!

The piano beginning of "Rockstar" sounds like a ripoff of another song but can't place it. Looking forward to the whole song but hope it's more Adam than Chris. Colfer has a lovely voice but it belongs in a boys choir to my ear (JMHO).
I could totally hear QAL doing "Spread Your Wings" - it has such a great, driving narrative, lyrically.
