It was kind of sad. It was so hot. Fans only had Adam on their minds. And the people passing out the flyers really were not enthusiastic. yup. It WAS HOT! I was chocked that they needed to do that $1 promo! and I remember thinking it could never happen to Adam! So far (not to jinx it) we are doing very nicely! It was so hot that I hung out at the VFW hall bar across the street. |

Thank you for the answers to my questions, much appreciated! One more ( perhaps this has been discussed also ) In what context do you think " chill the fuck out " is in reference too? " in the end it's music and it's joy" I LOVE that statement!!!! I think he means it literally. Relax, enjoy it. In the end it is about the music and having fun making it. That would be great, because it's really all anyone can do. So much of what happens outside of our control, is, well, out of our control!

Adam is fortunate RCA didn't shelve him like they did Jordin Sparks. Jordin is talented, young, beautiful and in a high profile relationship (Jason Derulo. It should be easy to market her. She has had an album complete for 5 years waiting for RCA to release it. Having no label would be better than being in limbo with a major label doing nothing with you. Per the host’s question — “How long does it take to release an album?” she exclaimed, “Thank you! Ask them,” and motioned offscreen, presumably to her label reps. “How long does it take?”Jordin got an advance from RCA for her third album and they put out 3 "buzz" singles in 2013. The plan was to release the first one to create buzz for the lead single for her album. The first song generated no buzz. The other 2 single were just dumped out there with no promo. Jordin proves the myth of big pop single = recording career. The reality is that you need to sell albums and you must have an active, passionate fanbase more than anything. And even in 2010 she could not sell concert tickets. I can't find the boxscores for her concerts but I recall there were a lot of $1 tickets given out. They were offering $1 ticket coupons to her concert to the Adam fans in line at Sayerville, NJ in 2010. If she isn't making them money and they don't know what to do with her why don't they drop her? She is talented and should be able to make money if properly managed IMO. |
