Do we know what's the capacity for each of these arenas in OZ?
These are the Top level venues in Australia. Perth Arena - 15,500 Sydney Allphones Arena - 21,000 Melbourne - Rod Laver Arena - 15,000 Brisbane - Brisbane Entertainment Centre - 14,500 All these venues should sellout. They seem to have allowed time in this schedule to add shows in Sydney and in Melbourne if there is demand. |

I have a completely OTT and unrelated question and will take it elsewhere .... or better perhaps...invite others with the required expertise to pm me... I have always loved the blues harp sound and have hankered to learn the harmonica for years. I told my fan this 20 years ago and they bought me a couple of harps and an instruction book but I was heavy into university in those days and did not go anywhere with it. I always felt that what was lacking may just have been lessons. I have approached a couple of harp players here but they were playing musicians and clearly not interested in giving lessons. Anybody here with ideas of how to start? What is a good starting instrument? Instruction book/vids? Chromatic or Diatonic? Any advice??? I gave away the older harps and books ages ago and am starting from ground zero? Love the Blues sounds...slow sad blues wails.... Mszue, take a look at this video: . Secondly, for lessons you typically need to contact your local music school and ask whether they know somebody giving lessons. You have already started approaching players (another good way), obviously sometimes they can recommend somebody, even if they are not giving lessons themselves. If you enter 'blues harp lessons' in google, you get not only the video above, but tons of book recommendations, etc. Write down the titles that seem interesting to you and go with that to your local music store and look at these books before you buy them. They need to be at your level of understanding to work for you. There are two ways people tend to learn to play the blues: learning by doing...and just wing it from there. This normally only works for either very musically gifted folks, or folks who already play either piano or guitar and are just adding another instrument. Others, who are a little less self-sufficient need a bit of help, via lessons or also via theory. The rest is then also practice and talent. Basic question: If I write down soemthing basic as : G, D7, C, G... or use a word like blues cadence, does that mean anything to you or is this all Chinese? Does not make sense to buy a book which starts at a level that is too advanced for you or does not explain the right stuff. Depending on the answer to that, you are starting at very different levels and need different kind of help. But, it also depends what type of person you are. Some what to just learn by doing and not know any theory, others need this to guide them along. But, if you have other questions, maybe we should pm, going forward. And truth in advertising, I play a few instruments, but harmonica is actually not one of them. So, if anyone plays this instrument, or are otherwise a musician with band experience, please chime in, because you're probably ahead of me then and can add to this. |

I'm trying out a new avi in honor of Queen's Australia announcement and Adam's new Q tattoo.  I've been in Nashville since Friday for my GD's state soccer tournament. I didn't take my laptop or an Ipad and it was too difficult to see on my phone...so I've been without Adam news since Friday. So happy now...Wow the grocery pics and wedding pics are awesome!!! Did he take his nose ring out? |
