Bridgeymah and all the Aussies on the site, I hope you get to go!
So with the tour going from June 19 until Sept. 1, it will be over two and a half months of new concert vids all the time. Yikes. There goes the summer lol.

Aleks -
Your words are beautiful; even when you feel they aren't inside.
As we wait and yearn and speculate, conjecture, hope . . . we keep coming back here, don't we? The tattoo shows me, and all of us, how much Queen - Brian & Roger, and Freddie's legacy - means to Adam. My personal feeling is that when Adam thinks about music, all else fades away. And the music of Queen is heady, already - - believe me, about Australia, AFL isn't agreeing to perform for just $$$ . . . he's going to carry the weight, bring new art to these rocking melodies . . . he's thinking about THIS; not about a house; not about financial security. As a performer, his security lies in his art.
Isn't ONE SONG from Adam I haven't loved. Oh yeah, I'm down the rabbit hole. But I'm not talking about obsession. I'm talking about art. Creating a song. Putting it together. His voice makes all things beautiful; every phrase becomes exploration, because he becomes it. Am I worried about A3? I won't just love the album because it's Adam. I'll love it because his VOICE will be enveloping every phrase; every nuance of inflection and interpretation.
Record and album sales be damned! I don't care; they don't matter to me. This man is riding a wave towards whatever your dream may be. He will achieve it. He will be there. We knew it from the start. From 'Mama'. Someone said, earlier, that they didn't want him to be in arenas - so far away. I've felt the same way, But I knew it would come. That's why I've wanted to be close for as long as I can.
One night, five years ago, I heard a voice. I cannot stop my journey to hear it again.

Talon's take will be in a little bit but I wanted to post this for those interested... This is "How Freddie Mercury Saved My Life" - It's a 50 minute documentary that was on in the UK last night from a series called Perspectives which takes a current "star" and has them take a look one of their heroes. Alfie Boe (who is a classically trained opera singer who has been transitioning to a pop role) is a big Freddie fan and loved the fact that Freddie opened the doors to opera-rock collaborations. This documentary was a wonderful look at Freddie's life with some unseen age 17 Freddie footage as well as a few nice spots with Brian showing us the original riffs for Keep Yourself Alive and Stone Cold Crazy acoustically. Also includes interviews with Peter Hince (Queen roadie), Bob Geldof (Live Aid organizer/Boomtown Rats signer), Montserrat Caballe (Opera Diva and collaborator on Barcelona), Freddie's 91 year old mother Jer and Freddie's sister Kashmira. If you can spare 50 minutes this was a nice nice program... Talon, thanks so much for bring that to us. I really enjoyed it. I haven't read any other comments about it yet, but isn't it wonderful how performers at the top of their game can admire and appreciate other performers who are so different from themselves.

Well, just paid the equivalent of airfare from Seattle to Sydney for car repairs instead of paying for airfare to see Adam and Queen in Sydney.

The Playlist album is now available for pre-order on iTunes. It is #1158 on the pop chart right now. How interesting! The original press release said physical CD only. ??? The release says "album". Some of the articles say CD because they were written from the retail copy used by Amazon when they put up the pre-sale CD. And once in the water that kept getting picked up.

What I find fascinating about these numbers? This tour is 60% sold before Asia and Australia even buy one ticket.
