But Queen were here in NZ in 1985...... Hope this is simply an error in the year...... Yeah that's what I was thinking, but I Think they said since OR before 1980, so since 1980 is around the 1985 around point. 1985 I think they were last in Oz, thats 29 years ago, so not exactly 30 years go. Some comments on FB said Motley Crue, who knows guess well find out Tommorro. Since Motley Crue was formed in 1981, it would be very hard for them to return to New Zealand for the first time since 1980. Crue is doing their final tour and going to Australia in 2015. Fans in NZ want them to go there. I think it is more likely that this is QAL -- and the date is wrong.

Congrats Q3...your guy, Josh won The Voice! I was trying not to care too much. It is the 5 year anniversary of Adam. I said I would never care about these contests again. But I really think Josh is great and could not help myself. He deserved to win. The Voice had a huge issue with iTunes setting up Josh's single wrong and those sales count as votes. When the issue came up last night, I sort of had flashbacks. Thankfully they said it did not effect the vote and did not use the iTunes votes. *** But trust me, it is not Adam-level love. Just the right person won. And it is the 3rd time in the row that my fav won The Voice. *** I really do not care who wins Idol this year. First time for me to have no one I care about. Feels strange!

TALCvids @talcvids 16m "has the vocal range, attitude& ..." RT @fasterlouder: Why Queen and @adamlambert isn't an insult to Freddie Mercury www.fasterlouder.com.au/news/39448/Queen-Adam-Lambert-isnt-an-insult-to-Freddie-Mercury …
Queen + Adam Lambert isn't an insult to Freddie Mercury Wed 21st May, 2014 in Local News
Queen’s first Australian tour since 1985 might just be an excuse for a giant arena karaoke version of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ – but it’s not an insult to the memory of Freddie Mercury. Since Mercury’s death in 1991 a choir of singers including David Bowie, Robbie Williams and Elton John have tried and (predictably) failed to replace the legendary singer. Someone at the London Olympics even thought Jessie J would work as a lead singer. At the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992 Robert Plant, Liza Minnelli and Metallica’s James Hetfield all gave it a go and Axl Rose even turned up in a kilt to wail his way through ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. None of them were Freddie Mercury. Adam Lambert isn’t Freddie Mercury either – but if Queen are going to tour in 2014 he’s a more than decent substitute. It’s not easy to replace a Wembley Arena filling superstars of the ‘80s – just ask INXS and JD Fortune – but Lambert makes sense as a frontman for Queen. He has the vocal range, attitude and the flamboyant sense of style. As drummer Roger Taylor has said: “Adam is the most incredible frontman. He’s a great diva, and I mean that in the best possible way. We need that theatrically.” Rather than following the low-road to fame like Fortune, Lambert didn’t set out to front a cash-grab reunion tour. He made his way as a solo act in his own right and has released two solo albums since his American Idol success. According to Forbes, he pocketed a cool $5 million last year and will release a third solo record – the follow-up to 2012’s favourably received Trespassing – later this year. Touring with Queen isn’t going to hurt him but it’s not like it’s his only option – he could probably front a Led Zeppelin tour as well.

Ok guys, I have a small beef. Y'all have given out the results to both The Voice and DWTS and it hasn't aired yet here in the west. Ruins all the suspense. I should be able to read an Adam thread without seeing spoilers about other shows.
i would stay away from here but I have to build tomorrow's thread.
