Maria 22PF, I ascribed your wonderful post to Mika by mistake. I apologize. (Not saying that you are not a voice of reason, Mika, I want to get my quotes straight). And since I am screwing up royally here, I'll wish you all a goodnite before I misquote anyone else. :-/ Don't go....... :-[ I agree. I don't mind not being the voice of reason. :D

Ah, but I don't see what Adam did as manipulation of the fans at all. I see it as Adam knowing his fans and trusting them to have his back, and emphasize a point he wants to make. It's a relationship, with lots of give and take. The power of social media in action. JMHO and anyone's MMV as always, of course So once again I quote you. I think that his knowing us and trusting us to have his back gifts him with the freedom to speak out and be listened to and understood and supported by his fans - and respected and loved. Greatly loved.

Seems like a lifetime ago. I was watching the vid on the Grammy Red Carpet and forgot how awesome that hairdo was.

I think that if some peeps are going to give benefit of the doubt to the DJ then they also should give benefit of the doubt to Adam and his supposed motivation IMHO : ??? :D Indeed. We can only speculate. Adam moves in mysterious ways his wonders to behold. (I think Bono said that...) LOL that's been said about Bono as well but mostly about that big guy upstairs who just thinks he's Bono. :D :D :D

Adam is a wise man and as any wise man does, he delegates (perhaps not verbally, but we can infer our place in the scheme of things) and I have no problem with that. There will always be those who go overboard, but all we can do is be responsible for our own contribution.

For me, either way, made me pause & reflect. Men do not often dare to avow, even to themselves, the slow progress reason has made in their minds; but they are ready to follow it if it is presented to them in a lively and striking manner, and forces them to recognize it. - Marquis de Condorcet, Marie Jean Antoine Nicholas de Caritat Let our reason, and not our senses, be the rule of our conduct; for reason will teach us to think wisely, to speak prudently, and to behave worthily. - Confucius Hey Sensei! Good to see you. Did you enjoy Adam on NNN? I have missed you terribly my friend! Yes!!!! Loved seeing Adam on NNN, downside.............NOT ENOUGH AIR TIME!!!!! I am counting on you to fill in the void..........where do I google next?????????????

Mika You are always a voice of reason on this thread. Thank you. Kind Vivlite you give me far too much credit. I really wanted to say let's get Tommy on TV - as an angel and/or demon on Supernatural maybe - because in that video he is prettier than a speckled pup. (Monte's very cool too.) (NoAngel rolls the pretty tinfoil balls across the floor and I just run after them...)[/size] HAHAHAHAHA....great visual to end the evening..hehe..thanks, Mika!

Just catching up for today. (I'm wide awake due to the decadent chocolate cake I had for dessert tonight.) Love Adam's twitter rant today. So stupid for people to get so riled up about a little kid wearing nail polish. I had to give my daughter a "just be yourself" speech yesterday. We were in a store and I was showing her the pretty Easter dresses. She tried to tell me that she didn't like dresses anymore. That would be fine, but I know this is not true. She always chooses dresses over shorts if given a choice. But she also chooses sports over dolls and is very rough and tumble. She's been hanging out with boys almost exclusively and has made comments about not wanting them to know something about her (for instance that her favorite color is pink) because it would be embarrassing for them to know it. I told her it was important to be herself and not to let other's opinions change her, etc. I said she could still do all her "boy" things while wearing a dress if that was what she liked. She got a big smile on her face and started going through the dresses picking out what she liked best. I admire moms who can be just as encouraging to their boys.
