Happy Birthday, sweets!! I was thinking the same thing and even looked for a clip of just that. "Did you hear him sing?" Long pause. "He was great." (cue angelic smile) And Slezak practically lost it. Loved that. The boy is wicked smart. Here's the vid  I wonder if we will EVER again see Adam in a suit and tie like he wore for CIGC. I can't picture it any more, but I loved it. |

Here's a Youtube comment for this video: Don't you just love Adam's ability to tell people to fuck off without actually leaving any credible evidence that that's what he just did. If any of you are interested in keeping up with the band members check out my tumblr page. I set it up to post band related stuff that would be OT here. I don't save fandom stuff on my computer so when Tommy stumbled upon tumblr I followed him there and realized it is the perfect platform to post favorite pictures, gifs and videos in one place.  I have missed you terribly my friend! Yes!!!! Loved seeing Adam on NNN, downside.............NOT ENOUGH AIR TIME!!!!! I am counting on you to fill in the void..........where do I google next????????????? Awww, I'm scratchin that big orange fella behind the ears. I am out of that which can be googled for the moment. My brain is mush tonight. Eating tuna fish and watching The Daily Show. (blessings of the dvr) While it's true there was too little of Adam at NNN - at least we got the Michelle Collins interview. I loved whatever that thing he was doing after she said something like "is that dirty?" - I would love to know what that was . Also appreciated the side eye to the camera when he mentioned his tour had featured many blue glittered fans. He's a treasure. (I would like to see his hair down a little more, but I quibble.) OH and the thing with Nikka was like a dream come true for him AND ME. I remember when he mentioned her on Idol and I was impressed that he knew who she was. (Of course, then he suggested Jesse Langseth - who I really liked - sing a Nikka song and Simon hated it : To see Nikka and Adam just hanging out and both being big gigglers was great. (I'm not a big fan of funk at all but I saw Nikka for the first years ago and she's just so amazing live.) So there's my booklet for the evening  |

In many ways we are having to fight the same battle that the Feminist movement fought years ago only in reverse. Women won the right to wear pants and have jobs that were'nt "feminine" but I remember thinking then that the arguements should have focused more on removing gender roles completely rather than on letting girls do boy things. Men have also had to fight for the right to be stay at home Dad's and that is still often looked down upon. But the interesting things is how the gay rights battles are stirring the pot and showing how much the feminist battles aren't really won yet in that much of the anti-gay rhetoric shows how misogynistic our society still is at its core. I don't think that women's rights issues will be resolved until men are allowed to be feminine without it being seen as inferior. Then and only then will we have true equality.
