I respectfully disagree. I got the music video played at a big club here on an otherwise boring Tuesday night. I wanted to see it big. I think I was the only Adam fan in attendence. Median age looks to be <30 and people loved it, and my friends think Adam is "gorgeous". They are replaying it for the 4th time. Everyone is impressed -- particularly with the song, the beat, Adam and the dancers. They want the remix -- NOW. >> While I am not sure there is anything new here -- in the song or the video -- Adam is new to many people. It all seems familiar but new, enticing but safe. Probably perfect for the US. >> Ohio (where I am) is a bell weather for the US. It is the center for marketing research because it is so "normal". And my little experiment indicates that this is a hit. So glad about the great reception in the bar, for song and vid. i too, love the song - have come to love it more than any other Adam song....I am 1oo% sure it will be a smash. But. I am disappointed in the lack of imagination and original artistry in this vid....nothing can change that.... So, when Ghost Town is No 1 for six weeks, perhaps they'll come see me for ideas for the Original High video.... Or not.... Geez, Sophie, we get it! You don't like the GT video. Point made! I DO like it. And I'm only gonna say it once.

Well, I hope those who are underwhelmed with the video will still give it lots of hits. You don't have to watch it. Only 587 views so far. Trying my best...

that's not right. You can see that there are over 2,000 thumbs up, so there must be AT LEAST over 2K views. Youtube hasn't updated the counting in real time. Thanks! You made me feel better. It's at 3,437 now. Only 21 dislikes.

So, fun fact, thanks to that super slowed down version of the video (posted at the top of p.42 at around the 7:50 mark) - @grayjoey is totally wearing Adam's shirt: I knew it looked familiar. I am amazed that the glamour interview didn't ask how big his wardrobe is in his house... LOL because we're way beyond simple closets with the way he buys clothes and can from his collection provide costumes for multiple videos and stage productions... Oh and I've loved three quarter coats on men since Kurt Russell rocked it in movie Tombstone.

I am not as poetic as momtomany but she answers to our expectations perfectly, I think. As far as not literal enough...I would truly argue that. I see this as a natural progression from Running....in its emotion and conception. For a single post-30 person from a community and mindspace that never saw home and hearth as a reasonable expectation in life, collective gathering and dancing and mood altering is exactly what you do when you feel like your heart is a ghost town. I know, for a few years after my divorce, I 'went' there a number of times...good old friday nights...it was never quite as ethereal as that but my circle of friends were not as creative as Adam's LOL There is no real connection and most of the time, especially when you have those kids and responsibilities, you leave alone, when boredom takes over. Thank goodness those times don't last forever and age douses the flames. It is especially obvious, for me, when you watch the slowed down version that these individuals are somewhat eviscerated....they touch and move with abandon but it is aimless abandon. And when you are artistic and creative, it is artistic and creative abandon. I think this perfectly mirrors how Adam feels and behaves when he is feeling empty...we saw it in a few of the party pics we have over the years...leaning against a brick wall....and from a few of the times he let us in during the tough withdrawal times he had when he finished his first tour. FWIW, my interpretation . I see the frenetic partying just before that ennui sets in...just before and during. The sex that one can assume would follow that party is really just 'the last drink'. hahaha.. cheers, I am hiding behind the blue couch from the accusations...perhaps justified...of projection!! and I now go to run a hot hot bath to take the ache from my weary muscles that have spasmed from sitting too long at the computer for the last two days...good grief. How ridiculous...

I watched it once and haven't gone back to watch it again. I think it's a bit Frantic and Schizophrenic, exactly just like Adam describe Ghost Town. I will go watch it again tomorrow.
I adore Adam, from the beginning, but for me this does not showcase his voice. I feel the song tails off and is repetitive. I agree with the Hype Williams name dropping. Maybe live performance will be different.
The whole world knows Adam is THE VOICE, and Queen tour has given them more prove that he has that VOICE. IMO he doesn't have to prove or show it all the time and every time he is singing a song. I LOVE GHOST TOWN, love it very much, I can listen to it all day on repeat. I just have a slightly different feeling about the music video.

Thanks! You made me feel better. It's at 3,437 now. Only 21 dislikes. that number is still way off... there are far more than 3500 fans out there, and most of us watched more than once by now... btw, where is the video that ET linked to? Is it on their channel somewhere or are they linking to Adam Lambert channel?

For me, this is why I don't like snippets, spoilers and "leaks." It causes distorted expectations and often don't match up to the actual song or MV. This happened to me when we listened to the Time For a Miracle snippet with the wailing parts, developed a certain idea of the song and was extremely disappointed upon the song's release when it didn't pan out. It took a little while to cleanse the pallet and listen with fresh ears, and ultimately loving that song.
It almost happened again with GT because although I tried not see it, certain descriptions were discussed here and most are not in the video. So while I like video, I know it would've been even better for me if it weren't tinged with incorrect speculation. Not saying this is true for others - just me.
