Ey ey ey ey.
Been reading and lurking on all this since yesterday's thread when Mrs Pittman decided to dump whatever load she was carrying in the Twitterverse. Speculation is a waste of time - but oh so much fun for all... Did she mean, didn't she mean, is he, isn't he, did they didn't they, and why oh why can't everyone be on GNT forever.
Fact is Monte is a session musician who writes and performs his own music on the side. He has been making a living that way for years. Would he love to be a huge star in his own right not playing second fiddle (or guitar in this case) to a variety of better known artists? Who knows, I sure don't know and couldn't guess if I tried. It's not my problem but more to the point is most certainly not Adam's problem or responsibility. Hopefully all the grownups involved in whatever is going on will figure it out and maybe all the kids jumping the bandwagon can go find some other bone to worry with.
Moving on.

Because I stan a solo artist... Sooooooooo....we do think he's a blond now. Yes?? I think that is a possibility worthy of discussion! I think I will like it (except I worry about the eyebrows.) I think that this man/fandom is never going to bore me! I think I will try to go to sleep again and look forward to a pic of a new, blond Adam and 20 pages of discussion about it before I make it back to Atop again!!

Of course, I agree. Not the end of the world, certainly not the end of mine. I don't feel entitled to private stuff, I'm just responding to what was put out into the twitterverse. IF I were Adam, it would be painful to me, that's all I'm saying - seems like a shame.
ETA: IF there's a rift, I doubt it comes down to something like Adam not going to shows or not socializing as much. It would have to be $$$$ somehow, IMO, to hit so hard.

Lesson learned for Adam....don't hire friends. Sad but true. Love that he has managed to keep his friends (people that he actually hung around with, not Monte)....the Cherry, Alisan, Danielle. These are the ones he had been close to. Never appeared to hang with Monte, although certainly another type of friend. It is sad that people he trusted turned on him. ITA to everything you say.

More of the 2009 article - We kept writing and doing things, but then I got into my first relationship and I fell in love and I was going out a lot.
Where did you think this was all leading?
I put my faith in the producer that I was working with, Monte Pittman, that when all this music was finished, he was going to do all the work to get it out there, and he did do a lot of work. But he had just come from New Zealand. He was really established there, but he was new here, like an outside player. So I didn’t know how quickly that was going to happen, and I wondered, “What are my other options?” And last year when “Idol” was on, we were all watching it at “Wicked” and everybody would discuss their opinions of who did better and why, and then somebody said, “Adam, you should audition for that,” and I thought, “Yeah, maybe I should.”

Q3 comment: This article contains a typo -- Monte was not the producer -- the producer was Malcolm Welsford.

[enters yawning]
There was an error in that article. He wasn't talking about Monte there, but some producer whose name I'm currently blanking on....

Maybe he's trying to explain his new hair or reminding Monte the good old days when Monte gave him a platform other then chorus boy in Wicked.... The Citizen Vein went NOWHERE, they played a total of three gigs FFS. and I'd say the Zodiac gave Adam more of a platform than Monte did which might explain why Adam is the Godfather to Riff and NOT Monte's twins.....just sayin.... maybe Monte and Adam's friendship was never as deep or as close as the fans assumed it was. Adam showed his loyalty by brining Monte along on the Glam Nation tour, he doesn't owe Monte the rest of this career as proof of his gratitude. I hope that whichever Adam fans were supporting Monte because of Adam will stop now.

Yep, Bridget, I know you aren't feeling entitled, just sad. Your kind heart hurts for Adam. And it is sad, I agree. And I have a feeling you might be spot on about the money issue, as long as we're speculating. But if only one "friend" has dissed him publicly so far, I guess that still says Adam's pretty good about his people-choices, right?
