There was a time when I really wanted to see Adam perform on major award shows because I thought that was the key to getting his album sales up. But after seeing NJ and DL perform on every show and award show for three years plus (with tons or radio hits), their album sales were only slightly better than his. So now I just want him up there to show what he can do. Contrast that to Frank Ocean who opened with more than 200k last week and he has not performed on tv since his terrible vocal performances at the VMA's and Grammy's several years ago. I really don't know what to think or what is going on. Adam's talent is beyond and I wish more people could see that. But he has done very well in the states and internationally when you think about it. Not as big as some of the heavy hitters but better than many. Still want to see him on prime time tv performing tho, lol.

angelkrash katycake runequeen !!! I share your excitement, finally QAL comes close to you!! I am so looking forward to your recaps, or incoherent ramblings, or whatever you are still capable of writing after the show. For us a way to experience it a little bit from afar. Enjoy!!

Still want to see him on prime time tv performing tho, lol. The music industry is such a conundrum. Lurleen, I feel the same way. Frank Ocean burst out a few years ago. Not much of a voice but made a big splash because he seemed a little different. Disappeared for three years or so, then reappears with a new album that will sell very well and probably reach BB #1. We Glamberts always pray that any TV performance Adam does will automatically boost his sales. But that's rare for any artist, unless there is something else thing they do to draw attention to themselves. I'm still hoping RHPS gets him some attention and opens a door to another acting role. But as you said, I want as many people as possible to witness Adam's incredible talent. He's made some good connections with people in the music business. Hope some of them last. Sometimes the biggest rewards come far down the road. I just want Adam to be able to perform for a long time and make a living at it. Whatever he can add to that in show business will be frosting on the cake. |
