I don't know about the wristbands, but it is indeed from the second Costa Mesa Show. I found my daughter and I in the picture. Maybe the wristbands were for over 21 drinkers??? Wasn't there VIP in the first several rows and you had to have a wrist band to stand in front of the stage?

Small Adam mention, she is a Malaysian singer. www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/Showbiz_Suki__8217_sgoesS-pop/Article/Showbiz: Suki’s goes S-pop 2011/08/25 DENNIS CHUA ... When the first American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson performed in Kuala Lumpur last year, Suki was one of two local singers (the other being Jaclyn Victor) to open for the superstar. “Not only is Kelly an awesome singer, she’s bubbly and friendly, too. I’ll be thrilled if she decides to return. The same goes for Adam Lambert and Chris Daughtry,” says Suki. ...

A couple of questions: What type of Pop/HAC songs do the fans, who are members here, hope to hear on Adam's second album? Instead of wishing for everything from Opera to Broadway to Standards to Cabaret, etc.- what type of Pop songs are you wishing for? Do you want more Dance songs, songs with a little more Rock or a little more R&B flavor, more HAC leaning songs? Other than Adam, :)what other artists are you listening to at this time? How about over the last year? Have your choices in music changed over the past couple of years, or are you basically listening to the same type of music you were listening to BA?(Before Adam) Just catching up on the thread but this question grabbed me.... 1. I want Adam to do exactly what he says he is doing -- record music that he writes that expresses what he wants to say and reveals something about who he is. I do not care what genre he chooses. Although I want Adam to achieve some level of commercial success, I do not want him to compromise completely to achieve it. I would truly rather he produce great music that get massive radio airplay or sell a gazillion records. 2. I listen to CHR radio on my morning commute -- usually Elvis' program which is talk and a bit of music. I listen to every CHR and Adult (HAC/AC) major release because I track the music industry. I enjoy a lot of it but am not sure I would seek it out if I did not need to. (I HATE most AC music, soft rock and anything ever done by Nickelback, Daughtry and Maroon 5.) I do not listen to Adam music that much now because I need new music -- but that is just for the past few weeks. I change my music a lot. I still use old school CDs on my car stereo -- they sound better. Right now in my car CD changer, you will find.... Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Unknown Mortal Orchestra Life's Rich Pageant - R.E.M. Coastal Grooves - Blood Orange All 6's and 7's - Tech N9ne A Treasure - Neil Young (it is country but it is Neil Young!!) Black and White America - Lenny Kravitz (just got it -- will burn out for me soon) The Light of the Sun - Jill Scott Rabbits on the Run - Vanessa Carlton My favorite albums of 2011 so far are.....TV on the Radio - Nine Types Of Light -- an art rock album & The Strokes - Angles -- electro pop. But I also really enjoyed these recent releaases: Bon Iver - Bon Iver (indie_, Big K.R.I.T. Return Of 4eva (rap), Fucked Up - David Comes to Life (hardcore metal). I seek out music that give me a new experience and that is raw, real and gritty.

I want anything that makes his voice stand out. I think this is why people enjoyed the songs he sang on idol because they were songs that showcased his voice. I don't think the first album did that. I understand what mszue is saying because certain kinds of music does showcase his voice better, such as Mad World and ACIGC. I wasn't particularly happy with the music on his first album though but I did really enjoy the performance part of it on tour. This is where he shined. If he can get great music that showcases his incredible voice and allows him to perform in a way that pleases his fans he will explode on the scene, imho. Adam made some mistakes the first time around and I think he has learned from them, so I'm looking forward to a more humble and wiser singer and entertainer this go around. I think he'll deliver. Back to lurking.

No ETA: A friend who was in the pit told me there were indeed green writbands. I am surprised Because anyone near the pit, rushed the stage and no security stopped them. Oops!

On the question of what type of songs I'd like to hear on Adam 2....I really don't care. I JUST WANT SOME NEW SONGS, DAMN IT!! ;D I'm sure I'll LOVE whatever Adam decides to do and he'll make me 'want' what I didn't know I 'wanted'! But I wouldn't mind if it had some Rock and Funk on it. Before Adam I hadn't been listening to music radio for a long time. Now while waiting for Adam's new album, I've made some Cd's (besides some of Adam ) that I like to term "Oldies but Goodies'! They are a mix of artists like Bowie, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, George Michael, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Rod Stewart (rock RS), Joni Mitchell, Pat Benatar, Ike and Tina Turner (the Dynamite album), Chuck Berry, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Little Richard, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Wilson Pickett, Jim Croce ( I loved his fun silly lyrics), Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Bob Dylan, and the list continues to grow! It's been a lot of fun going down memory lane with these Cd's. And it's a way to not so patiently pass the time until we get new music. I want to give a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL ATOPS I'VE MISSED LATELY!![/size]

In the interest of giving poor Mszue a break (and all those who took any 5 words out of her posts and argued about those get a break too) I'll try redirecting the career advice section of this blog, I want to suggest that Adam could really have a future as an ITT Technician and here is why: We all dream of spending a couple of hours with him. Well I have never seen a computer technician spend less than that to fix my problems - so that would work out well. I would not complain at all. Would gladly spend the inflated hourly technician rates - hey, many of us gladly paid 175 USD for 30 seconds...that would be some hourly rate if you think about it. He clearly would make millions every year. Now I understand that not every technician serenades while working, but at this rate we could ask for a bit of that, I'm sure. No you do not get to receive other services while the disc scans and other IT tools of the trade are humming away, Adam is taken, and anyway...what a bunch of dirty minds here - tz..... Adam always said he wanted to go into a more electronic direction - so ITT -Tech, here we go. Adam wanted to work with people - ITT - Tech, here we go. Adam wanted to have a bunch of dimmers - the perfect career to fulfill such a dream. So when you are all done arguing about Adam's future in opera, Gregorian chant, hip-hop, standards and jazz I can now look forward to an engaging debate about the pros and cons of Adam's prospects in this field, can I - can I? please........ Hmmm. Now that's an idea. Electronics. You ARE talking about house calls, yes? Maybe he could writhe around in your desk chair while he's running a virus scan. Throw in a few neck rolls and lip licks. And after the first hour he'll need to get up and stretch. Maybe a few chest pops and a high kick (ala end of Sure Fire Winners). Yes, you are definitely onto something big here.
