OMG I'm like all ~agitated about all this music in this thread. Have been way too busy this week, and wasn't planning to post, but the 5 song challenge and all the amazing and funny responses have got me all keyed up. I LOVE so many of the suggestions but want to get a couple in before midnight, although I don't think all of these are "top 5" worthy. I'm gonna come back and add the links if I can. So much good music, great thread.
First, no Red Hot Chili Peppers yet???!!! I love Otherside, Scar Tissue, and Around the World.
Then, one of my favorite Paul Simon songs -- Boy in the Bubble. Also, Me and Julio down by the Schoolyard, Duncan, and Slip Slidin Away.
Janis Joplin -- Piece of My Heart
Rolling Stones -- Get off of My Cloud, Time is on My Side --oh, and Wild Horses until Susan Boyle ruined it
Bob Dylan -- Positively 4th Street
oh crap can't stop at 5
Buffalo Springfield -- For What it's Worth
Joni Mitchell -- Circle Game
Elton John -- Yellow Brick Road, Daniel, Your Song
Beatles -- For No One, All My Lovin'
Linda Ronstadt -- Different Drum
Neil Young -- Heart of Gold
Love so many others that have been mentioned -- Prince, Meat Loaf, Sting, MJs Billy Jean...

Also -- Mickey and Sylvia's Love is Strange, from Dirty Dancing
And then of course there's the classic Bouncing Souls "Who's gonna throw the toilet off the roof?"

Hoopla, I agree, it's really hard to pick a Joni Mitchell favorite. I love so many besides Circle Game, but that one just feels kind of classic.
Animated, thank you for posting the RS Wild Horses vid -- I adore that song (wish Susan Boyle had stayed away!)
Also...whoever mentioned The Weight -- LOVE Robbie Robertson and The Band. Their movie "The Last Waltz" is great.
And Meat Loaf -- someone posted Paradise by the Dashboard Light -- hahaha LOVE LOVE that.

I read this earlier. Someone said there was a death at BM due to "mescaline"... I had no idea what that was and had to go look it up. I learn something new everyday. Do not know if there was any truth to this or not.

My knowledge of songs that would be considered "great" sucks real bad so I'll just post 5 that someone once recommended to me.
ETA: Hmm... just for lulz here's some Jeff Buckley and MJ.

Damn...I missed it again like last night! ![:'(](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/happytears-2.gif) But it still looks amazing! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I read this earlier. Someone said there was a death at BM due to "mescaline"... I had no idea what that was and had to go look it up. I learn something new everyday. Do not know if there was any truth to this or not. It would be very unusual for someone to die from mescaline alone. It's a hallucinogen. I haven't heard about deaths at this BM, but if someone OD'd, they took more than mescaline, I'd venture to say.
