Little hint about streaming on Spotify based on what I have gathered ... and please note that I am NOT a tech person, so I stand happily corrected by our streaming experts. Anyways, for those who run their playlists and songs off a desktop App for instance and want to make sure that all these plays get counted as actual streams, it is important to play those songs off the web once in a while. Library plays get credited as streams every time you go back on the web.

18 million views!!!
Why do I get sucked into watching this every time it comes up as a recommended video?

Is anyone else enjoying the lack of black clothing lately? The colors have been so fun.

I don't think we can measure anything that Adam is putting out now by WWFM. That was his biggest hit in the US. Double platinum. And he had a major label pushing it on CHR and HAC with all they had. Radio has not been as good to him since that time even with a major behind him. But I do think SP is doing fine (better than I thought it would from an indie) and we and they will stick with it. It would not make sense to switch it out in the US while it is moving up. As much as I love CTY, and want to see it get a chance, I think it will all depend on how well SP does. Adam may give it a try when SP does all it can do. And I like SP too so I want to see it do well. I think it would mean a lot to Adam. And we don't even know when Side B is coming out.

My Playlists are in a separate section from "My Library". I'm streaming probably 12-15 hours a day on my laptop. I have NOT downloaded any of my playlists so aren't I streaming online? I have double-checked all settings and think I am definitely online even though I am using a desktop app which is necessary when using Safari.

I don't really remember anything that the major label did for WWFM that is not being done now, but it was a long time ago and I could easily have forgotten. I think WWFM's success had more to do with being right off Idol, not active marketing.
Adam is doing every kind of promo that I can think of; radio interviews, radio concerts, television, magazines, physical billboards (Times Square for goodness sakes), iTunes banners, Spotify interviews ... all of it. He has never reached the level of success that allows for coasting for whatever reason, but he and his team are working hard to promote Velvet.
The biggest snafus that I can identify so far are the physical CD rollout and his illness. Whether the general public and radio execs embrace him, it is not because of lack of effort and authenticity.

Her reply said not standard for an EP and should be good on the full album. Hopefully she's right. Whenever that is.🤩
