Posted by Craazyforadam on Today at 10:03pm I agree that Adam in many ways has a technical superiority over Freddie, who we know was not really vocally trained, but I have to say, Freddie has a few stylistic elements that are raw and gritty and that I love from him and when he lets his baritone shine, I love that too. Loved when he played the piano. No dissing of Freddie from me. Have a hard time reading some of the more gloating comments of some Glamberts out in the fandom or on other blogs that smack more of ignorance. Adam is different than Freddie, but he can stand besides him and hold his own and that is huge! And in the UK there are enough people who understand that and realize what an accomplishment that is and what a talent they are therefore having in front of them. Good. Took them long enough to figure it out. Agree completely. It's not a contest. Adam walked in and lent his interpretation and he did an outstanding job. Queen felt alive for us once again. It was a memorable tribute.

Not a doubt in my mind that Adam will get the cover of RollingStone. None. Nada. I subscribed.

OMG -- my grandfather in law left my husband the exact same ring. It is identical!! Perhaps I need to "borrow" it.

Adam is slowly but surely being recognized for all the right reasons. Before GNT he was interesting, a novelty, and his singing was a footnote. The success of GNT, his charitable work, and the dedication of Adam's fans made people start taking him more seriously. Even though he did not crash onto the public consciousness like Bieber or Kesha, he is now being seen as an artist, working with other impressive artists, and the Queen performance was a WOW moment. It was not reported on national news stations, other artists didn't exclaim their admiration, but more and more listeners are being stunned by what he does and who he is. I agree with whoever said it, 2012 could very well be Adam's year........ not that 2009 and 2010 weren't, but we're talking about the trek to iconic.

My best friend is having a baby and I am watching her 4 year old. I got through it by having my DVR edition of Adam's performance with Queen on constant rotation for 2 hours. If she can watch the same Sponge Bob 47 times, I can do the same with Adam. Do you have any idea how mind numbing Shoots and Ladders and Candyland are? Trust me, you don't want to experience it.
