Know this thread is 'one for the books' but I just got home and want to say . . .
my favorite part of the Queen performance is, like many others, at the beginning, in shadow.
But, what I love most about it is not the silhouette, but the way Adam begins to move his body as he begins to sing. He has to sing with 'all of himself' - and to see him sway to his crystalline voice was thrilling beyond belief! Perfection that unleashed tears of joy and joy and joy!
Time to watch again . . .

I have to agree with you, if I'm being completely honest with myself. That is the part only neg part of the whole 8 min epic performance in my opinion. /0\ /0\ ??? Didn't like it as much. BUT I'm such on a high for the rest of the 7.5 minutes that it's not really all that big of a deal. wow, hello anonymous??? Did not know we could post without name here on this site. yup, but it was still all good and the folks totally saw that Adam was giving his all and were just enjoying every sound that he could squeeze out. ...its all good. So sometimes our Mr. more is more just reaches for a bit too much. What else is new. Still love what he is doing. I think that people knew he was giving his every bit he had in him, but I doubt many knew how much pressure he was under. Not only because he was fronting QUEEN in front of the biggest TV audience he has every sung in front of, but also because it was his second award show and we know it was his second chance. And also, fronting Queen, you either make it or people laugh at you for trying. He was under a hellofa lotta pressure and you could see that he fought for this one with everything he had inside of him. I think the audience reacted to that in a big way. Should Adam get a chance somewhere to play with Queen again in a concert situation, we will see how he will loosen up and enjoy himself more throughout the performance and not only towards the end. I have no idea how he keeps his nerves in check in such a situation, to be honest. Incredible...and the latter part is actually true for all the artist, singing talent or not. Can you imagine 19 year old Selena? Singing + hosting + a dozen costume changes, at age 19? And she was poised and pleasant in her speech delivery (not so much song). I really don't know how any of them do it. ETA: Ah Marie23, now your name shows. In your post a couple pages back your name was gone and still is, if you look back. Strange. Yeah it is weird. I've been meaning to ask about that. On the upper right hand corner, where it tells you how many messages you have, I can't click on my name, when I remember that I use too be able too. Was wondering if it's the same for anyone else.

A little late to the favourite moments discussion but thought I would throw in my 2 cents for what it's worth Is it still a 'favourite' if there are like 50??? Cos I keep finding new things to love upon repeated viewing LOL. But these are the things that stood out for me the very first time I saw the performance on my teeny tiny little iphone screen. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get to my laptop so I could flail properly. ;D ;D ;D 1) I caught my breath on the very first words 'empty spaces'. It was like I was hearing him for the first time; discovering him all over again. I couldn't believe the utter beauty of his voice. It filled all the empty spaces inside me in a way no other voice ever could. 2) That HBIC STRUT down the runway like he OWNED the place. Every inch the rock star. Performing with a legendary band in an arena full of people, most of whom probably didn't give two hoots about him, if they knew of him at all, he showed no fear. Even on my puny little screen I could see the fierceness. 3) The final 'QUEEN!' delivered in such a powerful, booming, COMMANDING voice. That is a voice that absolutely DEMANDS your attention. He really is made for the stage.

LOL! I'm 100% sure all this has already taken off in Twitter World! 200 fans at ATOP is a drop in the bucket! You can't control it, no matter how hard you try! Twitter is another beast altogether! I can't control the world. I can only make recommendations here. However, we usually have a lot more peeps watching than posting, and hopefully they'll see the recommendation too. Yes, I know that. There are thousands of active fans on twitter. It's good to get the word out here at ATOP, but there are tons of fans on twitter who don't belong to any board. Twitter is their fanboard. Most of the tweets have stated that BFM isn't Adam's new single, isn't from his new album or that BFM is from four years ago and Adam doesn't endorse this single. I haven't really seen anything crazy. lol I'm sure it will be fine.

Yeah see this is what I just love about Adam. His performances are almost always like you're at a concert, not just some staged, choreographed production where he move this step and that way. He feels like he's drawing you into his performance.

playitagain - what a beautiful, warm, insightful, profound post! I am so glad this truly epic performance brought you out and into the posting world! please continue! as you know - we are all interested in the "hook" - what made you an Adam fan? Would you feel "safe enough" to answer? - thank you! Ahh Playitagain! Loved your post! Yes. yes. and yes. PLAYITAGAIN!! your words speak what i have been unable to to put into words. I've watched and listened many times now. I still haven't explored fan vids because I am trying to savor this, make it last, enjoy this ride, this taste of things, maybe, to come. I think the delay of the single is actually cosmically well timed. The press around this performance is incredible and quite positive. What if this performance subtly shifts the dynamic of the album? What if this performance and ensuing excitement pushes the album in a slightly more rock direction? I mean, it's possible...I know Adam is paying attention to what the peopel are saying about that performance. Gods, it was soooo good. I have it on my DVR, so I can watch it on a big screen, but the background lights cut out Adam's beauty too many times, so I am looking forward to exploring the fan vids over the next week or so. Aaaaaannd I have a strange confession. I really was kind of on the fence about the whole BfM thing right up until that slimeball sued Adam. What a dirtbag. I think Adam will come out of it just fine. Sad about Monte, though, I do think there are better guitar players out there. I mean, Adam just sang with one of them, so I think he won't miss Monte too much really. And it looks like Tommy Joe is here to stay for at least the present moment. I like him. I think he and Isaac are pretty strong. Ok, sorry to hit, ramble and run. My bed calls . I am working long days and have a new 4G phone so am learning to check in with twitter on the phone for fast updates. It's cool.
