I don't think broad generalizations can be drawn about any group based on the Internet responses of a few. Adam receives love and hate from the both the straight and gay communities.
Some people who perceive that others are eye rolling will always want to be the first to hop on the eye rolling train. American Idol is often a big eyeroll for gay and straight people.
Adam is a hot guy coming off the show, and some want to write him off as just that...some kind of fantasy character for AI watching teens and older women who also get the music taste eye roll.
Some are people, gay and straight, that don't feel good about themselves and try to feel more powerful by putting down others.
Then, Media is somewhat enamored of him, often writing about him in superlatives, so that immediately invites contrary responses.
Some people momentarily get more passionate arguing a reaction when the argument (post) they read is passionate, and people who love Adam often love him rather
passionately, lol. If someone goes strong, (someone posting,) a strong response often
follows, sometimes just for the sake of argument.
Adam puts himself out there honestly, and media right now loves to help, and that invites
response and discussion. He seems to be a light in the night that draws people in, that
attracts buzz, sometimes polarizing buzz; lots of people buzz their own stories off of him, myself included.
It is a good thing, for the most part, that he gets people talking.
On another note, I just texted Q104.3 for BTIKM and they responded "no match found."

Regarding anonymous website comments -- just because someone online claims to be gay or straight, male or female, young or old, does not mean they are who they say they are.
Anyway -- it has been a glorious week. Let's take Adam's advice and give the haters the silent treatment.
