For anyone interested in twitter numbers, Adam has gained 1637 new followers in the past 12 hrs. When album #2 comes out I am crossing my fingers that at LEAST half his followers buy the album the first day of release. Wow, this will be a HUGE opportunity for him to experiment with the power of Twitter. Knowing Adam, he will do just the right amount of teasing without overt self-promotion. If he metes album info out in dribs and drabs, he can REALLY build anticipation. Though you do have to wonder ... Gaga has almost 9M followers and she was hyping BTW like crazy. Then the other day I read on Twitter that BTW only made it to No. 3 (which could be wrong – I don't follow enough to know). Seems like a fraction of her followers could have done that.

I miss having consistent Adam coverage. The GNT has def spoiled me. However, I know he needs the off time to create. He needs to have time away from fans to connect with himself and create. One of the things that we all admire about Adam is that he does not seem to be strapped into his public persona. He is a real person. He enjoys and appreciates the fandom, but he recognizes that as wonderful as it all is, it does not define who he is.
It's good that he can just enjoy "normal" life and separate himself from "the business". He and we will be better for it.

Found this pic on lj.....great memories.. He really is perfect. Oldie but goodie fan vid of him in that boa - this is one of my favorite vids of all time. I adored Adam's set from the AI tour -- great memories, absolutely. And the Bad Influence fan vid is one of my absolute favorites also, especially from that summer. Love seeing that again. Adam has an incredible ability to create indelible, evocative, and cohesive performances, for both his tours and his one-off concerts. <3

This should be updated to say, "Yes, I am strategically healthy" LOL, strategically healthy is as good as spectacularly healthy, I guess. LOL - I don't know if that was A typo or a Freudian Slip. I wonder what the author was thinking with "Spectaculaly Healthy"? Such odd wording, but somehow appropriate. ;D

I agree with you, I am going to keep my expectations low regarding how many twitter followers actually buy. It is curious to me though, Gaga, Adam whoever........why follow someone if not a fan or invested in them, in a positive way? Anyway, you hit the nail on the head, Gaga has millions of fans, yet BTW is not going to be another Bad Romance for sure. My two boys who listen to pop, their opinions only and really in the big scheme does not mean much, anyway, they DO NOT like this song in the least.

I hate to say it, but I think you're setting yourself up for major disappointment by assuming twitter followers = music buyers. That just isn't the case. Lots of reasons, but the biggest one being how many people will likely download his singles or album for free rather than buy it. Not his hardcore fans of course, but among just regular people who follow him on twitter because they took an interest in his music or because they just thought he was interesting, it is likely to be the rule rather than the exception.

PastaBaby do you have a link to Robert Anton's commentary on Adam's NYC concert, want to watch it, but cant seem to find it ETA: That tweet longer to Adam made me tear up, it is really something how Adam music, as well as him just being himself, empowers, helps and encourage so many ppl. Thought that it'll be good if that was sent to the Trevor Project, etc. i'll have to ask him for it. it's not on his reg YT acct, it's on an auxiliary acct. he is a YT partner and he's not allwd to put footage of concerts, which he did in the review. i'll dm him now. edit: sent him dm, but realized he's at his boyfriends house in jersey so he may not respond so quickly. he must be tweeting fr his phone so i may not get a link till tomorrow. Thanks,

Regarding the Melrose Trading Post -- I just read some of the Yelp comments from folks that have shopped there and it sounds JUST like Adam's kind of place. You can find lots of vintage stuff there and especially lots of jewelry, clothes, shoes, and vinyl records. I would imagine this is where he has found some of the items in his extensive jewelry (and especially ring) collection. He was probably hanging out with Danielle -- it seems like a Sunday best friend thing to do, doesn't it? The commenters say it is a "hipster" hang-out, and that you can often find Scandinavian celebrities there --maybe he was looking for Sauli?
They started that after I moved from LA -- now I am jealous!
