As to hearing a flat note, I think probably "good for you" is right. I cannot NOT hear them, and despite an otherwise incredible performance (by any artist, not just Adam), flat notes can ruin my enjoyment for the song. They cause a visceral cringe that is uncomfortable.
I guess we all perceive reality from our own unique perspectives.

You have no idea how much I love Adam putting on this Blond jacket again for this Queen concert... that shoulder accesssories.. just look so "Majestic".. LOL I love this jacket too although I cringe everytime Roger leans into it during Under Pressure -- the spikes are right at eye level. |

A non-professional comment: Adam sang the Kiev performance "full body". I heard Pavarotti sing live unmiked - you hear a sound that is unbelievable. Adam ended each note full on. Moscow was sung above the diaphragm for the most part. He played with the notes, he squeezed them into many shapes. It was his Broadway performance. In Moscow, "Who wants to Live Forever" at the end with almost no air flow he shot "ours" into the air and hit perfect pitch round and full and very high. Totally blew me away. So now in Poland we can be begin to wonder who will he be, how will he "play" it and us. I love reading your post... please post more and give us some insight from the vocal technical POV.. ETA:.. Yay.. we have more voice experts here in our board.. |
