Not familiar with "Liz and Dick" is it a play? Surprising that Lindsey Lohan is getting any work at all with all her shenanagins, although in spite of personal issues, she is very talented. Such a pity so many child stars go down the tubes like that.
Also never heard of Soledad O'Brien, or Wendy Williams for that matter. Gonna be interesting with all these appearances of Adam on MY TV.

Well, I kinda wish they weren't doing all these voting things..................
I'm really covered up with RL stuff getting ready for Christmas, will miss the party tomorrow night, and will hope the stream is still up, and good YT. Congrats to nica and visavista that are getting to go to the show, anyone else going?
I am planning on making my dh watch the VH1 Diva show that Adam is hosting, and really hoping he gets some good time in singing and not just hosting duties. Guess he will be back in LA rehearsing next week. One thing I think is really great about the show, is that Adam will get to meet and hang out with and sing will all these young hot divas. He will make some new friends, have a great time and blow everyone away. I really hope he gets to do a song with Kelly Clarkson, can't wait!

Thanks for the the nice KUDOS from everyone on my son's performance. This year, he was in a dance about sexuality, it was very racy, one of the professors said it was "soft porn" NOT. If I see a YT of it, I will post it. It had several pairs of dancers, some boy/girl, and one girl/girl and one boy/boy, all seducing a "virgin", my son was paired with another male, and they turned it on, got "campy", just like Johnny in Adam's FEVER routine. I read the whole thread from that day (Dec. 3) and found all the comments really interesting. My fave comment was from mika:I hear you. I have black friends but I just don't like it when they act all ghetto. I mean Beyonce is a class act but when she puts her hair in those braids and starts talking ghetto, girl, I just change the channel. (And Snoop Dog --- c'mon, definitely creepy.) I just don't like overtly black people - I don't know why but that's okay - it's just a question of taste. That's what I tell the kids too - if you think other kids act creepy and different, you don't have to like them.
Also, I hart both homophones and alpha mails.
(I don't even care if I got trolled - that's the most fun I've had all day! Yes, that is how dull my day was.) Read more: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=1232&page=20#ixzz2ENYvEvZZGreat, mika! Also loved the interview mika posted (p74), I had not seen it before. I think a lot of the opinions are valid, even if not popular. People feel what they feel, and are attracted to different styles in all kinds of things, not just dancing. Clothing, music genres, etc. I personally loved the "campiness" of Adam's Fever performance with Johnny and Terrance. IMO, Adam directed and approved the choreo, and it was perfect for that song. I think Johnny could dance like Terrance if so directed, it is a style of dancing. My son can do both styles, really really camp, and really really macho. There is so much going on here that I want to comment on: sugaree: thanks for the music channel, enjoying! Also the Divas performance, great ladies on that show. Will be interesting to see if these young singers can hold a candle to them. So happy for your new Misty. Amazing that Shadow's presense is there, I know it is a great comfort to you. junie: I think that animals do communicate on a telephathic level. And, how's the new job going? The farmer in the hay vid was hillarious. Last thing that gave me a good laugh this week was something posted here at Atop, can't remember what it was, but I was rolling on the floor. We have some funny and creative people here. nikki ~ that one will take a few reads from me, shucky darns!

I can't be the only person on this website who listens to the Trespassing album and comes away realizing they have heard excellence in a dance/pop album. Once again I am overwhelmed with the music, lyrics, sound, background singing, everything else an expert who is nominating for the grammys should be looking for. I am going to be friggin pissed if Adam isn't at least nominated. There are enough voters out there who should recognize the talent and perfection of this album. If they are voting for the best and not who sells the most (bubblegum music), they will vote to nominate Trespassing. I know everyone doesn't like dance music, but this album is one of the most interesting, diverse, perfect albums I have heard in at least the last 25-30 years. The grammys will mean absolutely nothing to me if Adam doesn't get a nomination. This is based on the principle of an award show. Isn't it suppose to be for excellence in music? Pink's album is the same old sound she always makes. This is not her best album. Same with the rest of the supposed nominees. I am having a fit here. I hope I see his name tonight. I will be so upset. I hope I didn't interrupt a conversation. I just got back on here. Have I ever told you how I love reading your musings and your positive loving nature.. If not, I'm telling you now.. you are terrific and I agree with all that you just stated. ^^^^^ Agree! I listened to Trespassing for a couple of hours while on the road yesterday, I love every song, some more than others, but it is all really great music. Diverse, yet cohesive, the lyrics to the songs are amazing, the beat is driving and fun, just a great all around album. Grammy voters should recognize great music when they hear it. I am very very hopeful! Thanks Irish for expressing it so well.

Omg! by mistake my profile has been deleted. I got a shock. I returned from work, opened the computer, and what I see ladymaserati8 guest, oh boy all gone, my avi, pm's .. everything. I'm very sad because of this. The most I can not digest it, lost all my pm's from you my friends because they were for me a priceless treasure. Often I was reading them especially when I felt very alone, were wonderful cure for my well-being. This is a great loss for me and I can not get over this, I just want to cry when I think about it. I feel like I've lost all of Adam pics, videos interviews ect .. Now I'm starting from scratch with a sad heart. I could not remember how I could do it, not seeing what I'm doing .. This morning before going to work struck me change my avi, I started to play with this and avi from my twitter and at the same time I was getting ready to work in a hurry stupidly I deleted my profile and I flew to work as if nothing had happened. No wonder I got a shock when you return from work ... after all I am exhausted. It's late and I have a few things to do for tomorrow morning ... oh boy what a day, mess, sad evening ... it could only happen to me.. Welcome Back! So glad you really didn't leave. You are now are 1300th member!!!!! I think we had about 300 members at Adamtopia this time last year, before Adam's EMA performance. Love all the new members, and the international flavor of this community!

Gotta brag on my boy ~ Last weekend we went to his dance concert at college. They used his picture in their advertizement for the concert: here is the original shot, taken during a dance he had a solo in the last year's concert: It was from this dance: This year, he was in a very controversial dance about sexuality, where he partnered with another male dancer, and he was amazing. It reminded me of the recent discussion about Adam's dancers and being "too gay". If they post a YT of that dance, I will bring it here. My son had no dance lessons or training before switching his major from Business Admin to Dance his junior year. This is his 3rd year in the dance program at UNT. Very proud mom!

If you look at the major submissions in this category this year, the competition isn't that Great. If you look at album sales this year, they are not that great. Like tinafea said, I am not a toddler that is going to throw a tantrum. I just can't spend my days expecting the least in situations so I won't get disappointed. I can't! As far as I know, the Grammy submissions list has not leaked in total so we do not know who was submitted. Based on what has leaked, we do know some of the submissions in this category. Here are a few: Adam Lambert #1 US 152K+ Justin Bieber #1 Platinum Kelly Clarkson #1 Platinum Coldplay #1 Platinum Lana Del Rey #2 US 408K, Platinum in many countries Florence + the Machine #6 US 717K, Platinum in many countries fun #3, US 658K Nora Jones #2 Madonna #1 US 518K Maroon 5 #2 US 700K [missed #1 by < 1,000 units] John Mayer #1 US 500K+ Jason Mraz #2 US 252K One Direction #1 US 1.4 million P!nk #1 US 700K+ Rihanna #3 US 850K Usher #1 US 373K Looks like a tough field to me -- not based on my personal taste but based on who is likely to get votes. ETA: I am not disagree that Adam could get nominated, just not agreeing that the field in not that competitive or that album sales are low. I really can not figure out WHY sales for TSP are so low???? They are not near what FYE sales were, are these numbers just for US? Surely intl sales are better? Of course, it is kinda hard to buy this album when it is no longer being stocked in the stores, when was the last time anyone saw the album on a rack at their local music store or one of the big retailers like Target? When I was in London in Oct, my friend bought the last 2 TSP at the HMV, it was on sale 2 for L15. I haven't seen it at my local Wal Mart since June. Wonder if RCA plans on restocking when Adam gets the Grammy nom? I hope so!!!!! I believe. I'm a believer. ;D
