Out Magazine @outmagazineRufus Wainwright & Husband Jorn Weisbrodt Speak Out for Binational Couples bit.ly/15zk8v0 Rufus is Canadian....he must have dual citizenship ..... I am confused.... ETA: I just looked it up....Rufus was born in the US but lived most of his youth in Montreal. He has dual citizenship and he and Jorn live in Toronto...where Jorn works. I am not sure why they did not get married in Canada...but waited til they could do it in New York. ? Point of interest...I knew he was close to Leonard Cohen but ...he and Cohen's daughter have a daughter together! Both Rufus's parents were musicians and artists. This little girl has an amazing set of genes in her....

Whatever happens to A-Idol . Whatever happens at A-Idol. Adam will continue to be relevant to a significant part of this world. For me that is what matters most. Sands of time.. sublime relevance through time..
Thank you for your words and your art animated - they both speak for me when I don't know how to say it.

That THR article is so full of errors it is pathetic. Pretty sure Season 5 was the peak of Idol Tours. Next comes Seasons 7&8. S10 was the first year they made the venues much smaller because S9 was a huge failure. And the #1 touring Idol is Carrie. She is consistently selling out arenas.#2 would be Kelly. Daughtry would be #3. Adam #4.

So perhaps 3.47 times as many people as attended in 2012 are agreeing to attend this year if Idol pays them the ticket price to go and sit and applaud?

"Idol's most successful touring artist? Season five's Chris Daughtry, whose band outsells Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken, runners-up for seasons eight and two, respectively, at a ratio of 13 to one."
You know, I think I would like to see source and actual numbers for this.
It is popular to beat up on idol right now. And I know that idol's management is a mess. But the show itself is the best one out there, it just deserves to be in better hands. There is nothing that X-factor does that is per se better, this critique makes absolutely no sense. I agree on so many points. There have always been Idol bashers, but it seems more rampant--jump on the train, lemmings. It still is a popular show. Just a side note: The Voice has some great moments and performances. The duos in the ring are only done for one round after all the contestants are chosen. They use it as a quick way to chop the number of contestants in half. From then on, they sing solos.
