I did read an article by Lyndsey Parker the other day on OLFIP. Apparently he was in a major car accident that injured his guitar strumming hand. He wasn't sure if he could play guitar again. But apparently he is able to. He is a dad now. So strange how things work out, our second place winner is a superstar and the winner is struggling. Gotta hand it to these guys, they are following their dreams. Yes, it happened new year's day of 2013. His wife Katy (pregnant) and their dog were in the car. A woman croesed the center line and plowed right into them.He showed pics of the vehicle. It was totaled. They were lucky! His hand was not set right and he needed 2 more surgeries to correct it. He is doing a tour now of mostly very small venues, 300-500 capacity. << All the info one pics up at MJ's! LOL! OK I am ignorant. Why is he called OLFIP?

OK I am ignorant. Why is he called OLFIP? In tribute to his exquisite taste in strumming attire: Our Little Friend in Plaid

All the discussion here about the multitude of genres Queen worked in - and the fact that Adam can work in a wide range of genres - prompts me to add that for much of America Queen represents one thing: big stadium anthems played before, during and after big sporting events. When I look at the twitter accounts of most of the people who make comments like: "Adam Lambert with Queen: No Way!" or "Lambert with Queen, what next? Clay Aiken with Guns and Roses?", the profiles most often have a few things in common: big sports fans (particularly football) and fans of cheesy comedy (Seth McFarland, etc). I look at who they follow, and if it's anyone in music, it tends to be rap or country, but frequently they don't appear so much interested in music as in the sports. So I think many of the Queen + Adam naysayers come off as macho-pretending sports lovers with no special interest in music, and no real knowledge of the variety and complexity of the Queen catalog, but with the assumption that only a straight guy like the mythical "Freddy" should be fronting Queen and singing their hard-hitting, manly anthems. Just to play devil's advocate, and because it is easy to stereotype (just ask Adam), i am a HUGE football fan, have been all my adult life. I hate beer and country music. And much as i love Adam, if I didn't like Queen I wouldnt be going to the concert. So football fans can like Queen, and not just their arena anthems
