hwc, good to "see" you! speaking of OLFIP, he is performing at a local club next week and you can purchase a table for 4 for under $100.00. I can go if I wanted to but I don't wanna! Who is OLFIP? ETA- Having read a bit more of the thread I now get who OLFIP is. But what does OLFIP stand for? I thought he was called NAL for Not Adam Lambert! LOL I asked the same question - our little friend in plaid

Aww can't pick on Kris. I think he and Adam were good as the final two. I went back and saw some of their old interviews, very funny.
So re: Atlantic City, am only willing to buy the cheap seats and found them. Should I wait for general sale or buy now?!

Ah *sigh* best hug I ever got. This is cute This hug says to me "You're awesome Starchild. So happy for you that you are moving on. You are a rock stah man. Some day I bet you'll front a major band like Freddie Mercury did with Queen"

Here is the corresponding video for WWFM:
I had not seen this one either. They would both have much higher viewer numbers, if they had been in regular circulation on blogs, so I think, we just did not see them here. They seemed new to me too, but they do have a few comments from many years ago, so I don't know.
Re Money question:
Kris has songwriting credits on at least a few songs. I'm not following his career, don't know how many, but maybe that makes some money for him. I never assume somebody has no career, just because I don't follow it, because it is easy to get that wrong. Have met people who have no idea that Adam made 5 million last year, but rather assumed, he as was some starving artist who once was famous because of idol. Some were quite surprised to hear otherwise.
I agree that it does not look like NAL is swimming in money, but I assume that he gets a flat rate at a lot of such events, so he can pay his band, etc. It is more likely that the venue is out some money, I'd say. Not sure how that works. But I wish him well. Don't hold a grudge against him, he knew that Adam deserved the title. If I hold a grudge then at conservative/fundamentalist America for their campaign against him in churches, etc...and the voting mess. But given the tons of success Adam has had since and the immediate wonderful tour that is ahead for him, I really don't have any energy for such grudges either.
It is clear for me that Adam always has to fight three times as hard, be ten times better and overcome a hundred times more anti-sentiment in everything he does than the average Joe. But it is astounding, that he keeps moving along and up nevertheless. Not at the same speed as those that get the carpet rolled out for them, but ultimately way more convincing, and way more satisfying and last but not least, way more influential. I admire his strength to withstand what is thrown at him, and there is no question that my resolve to support him has been strengthened by exactly watching this battle he has to constantly fight.

My post about a good number of those on twitter who are nay-naying Adam fronting Queen being big sports fans was not meant to suggest that you can't enjoy BOTH Queen (or Queen with Adam) AND football. It was just an observation that MANY of those protesting (based on their profiles, and the people they follow) appear to be men with a) no special interest in music, be it rock or pop, and b) an outsized devotion to sports (many follows of teams and athletes).
Since Queen anthems are played at many sporting events, I thought it was fair to postulate that many critics of Adam teaming with Queen have only a limited knowledge of Queen's music beyond the obvious macho anthems. Plus many of these people "appear", based on their tweets, to be homophobic, and, I would guess, not always aware of the fact that "Freddy" himself was gay.

Eh. Get 'em now and eliminate later stress. Just out of curiosity, how cheap were the cheap seats? $69! Or rather $55 + fees Gah. The concert is (I think) on a Saturday. It would take 3 1/2 hours and less than $50 to get there by train. But I'm already set for two shows..... (and I still don't know exactly when a July-scheduled work trip is going to take place). ETA: Happycat, where are your seats?
