Count me as another who could easily see OLFIP next week in Atlanta, but will pass. I looked at some photos of the venue and it looks like it would hold about 100 patrons. I am puzzled. If it was packed, and if every person there spent $50 on food/drinks, they would only be bringing in $5000. Deduct the overhead cost, food/beverage cost, bartender, waiters, and at least a little profit for the establishment, and how much can OLFIP be earning from a gig like this? It is good to see that he is able to work doing what he loves to do. It seems like a tough life, tho', to be touring with little or no support, not earning a lot of money and being away from your new baby.
I should really feel kinda bad for him. But, I look at the Queen + Adam Lambert touring schedule and tickets sales, and cannot wipe the cheshire cat grin from my face. He will always have the AI 2009 title and the memories. Adam, the runner-up, will have .... well, not just the memories of singing with Queen on the finale, but the beginning of an incredible collaboration. (And a shitload of $$$). My little black heart is singing, "Nah, nah, nahnah, nah!"

mmadamimadamm @mmadamimadamm 22h Nice look back! MT @adamssangel: An incredible look at the power and artistry of @adamlambert in the making of FYE vimeo.com/56467061 I was on the treadmill and bored so I went back to Adam's Idol Performances. Haven't done that in a LONG, LONG time. It was almost shocking how much Adam has grown since that time. I actually love who he is as a performer now more than ever. Before I almost felt like he was putting on a little bit of a show in confidence to fill out that 100% he seemed to show on stage. Now he owns the stage and looks completely and absolutely at ease. I used to sort of hold my breath hoping everything worked out, now I don't even think about it. This is a longer version than I remember seeing. Do we know what happened to Adam the Snake? This is a great song and a better video. Would FYE have worked if it was released after WWFM?

OK I am ignorant. Why is he called OLFIP? In tribute to his exquisite taste in strumming attire: Our Little Friend in PlaidLOL Who coined that one?

My little black heart is singing, "Nah, nah, nahnah, nah!" I comfort myself by thinking of all the things Adam didn't have to do because he came in second. His first single wasn't "No Boundries" He never had to sing it again. We would have had to sing NB instead of Mad World on the New York promo tour. He didn't do the Idol Disney World promo stuff. Cupcake Adam would have been wonderful, but it wasn't his style. It was a glorious last week with Adam/Kris finale. Another week of Gokey wouldn't have been worth the win. A loss to Gokey (which wouldn't have happened) would have been unbearable. The money and the headlining the Idol tour still bugs me. Adam had a split second of disappointment on his face when he lost that breaks my heart. . Non-Fans forget he didn't win.

I try really hard to never verbalize or post these kinds of thoughts because karma is a bitch and what goes around comes around...but (If fate could just look away for a moment!)...in my heart I feel exactly the same way I'm just weird like that.

I do get the feeling he is not very ambitious and is happy doing small gigs, but he does still have to make a living. IDK?

I think you need to have to trade is your QAL tickets for a ticket to an OLFIP concert! hwc, good to "see" you! speaking of OLFIP, he is performing at a local club next week and you can purchase a table for 4 for under $100.00. I can go if I wanted to but I don't wanna! Who is OLFIP? ETA- Having read a bit more of the thread I now get who OLFIP is. But what does OLFIP stand for? I thought he was called NAL for Not Adam Lambert!
