In many ways we are having to fight the same battle that the Feminist movement fought years ago only in reverse. Women won the right to wear pants and have jobs that were'nt "feminine" but I remember thinking then that the arguements should have focused more on removing gender roles completely rather than on letting girls do boy things. Men have also had to fight for the right to be stay at home Dad's and that is still often looked down upon. But the interesting things is how the gay rights battles are stirring the pot and showing how much the feminist battles aren't really won yet in that much of the anti-gay rhetoric shows how misogynistic our society still is at its core. I don't think that women's rights issues will be resolved until men are allowed to be feminine without it being seen as inferior. Then and only then will we have true equality. Rihannsu - You are so wise - always enjoy your posts, and this one hits the mark, as usual! And, NoAngel - I see I wasn't the only one who fell down the Adam/Idolatry rabbithole and watched all five segments again. They are soooo good. Thanks for posting one.

Offtopic....but I'm watching Prince on Lopez tonight. Pretty awesome!! ....and he's talking about keeping his concert tickets at $25 - something about TicketMaster and Live Nation - damn, I missed what he said!.... mys*&@^#r scored some tickets I hear. Cool! Here is the scoop from the LA Times -- promoter is Live Nation, tickets are onsale via TicketMaster but pricing is a new model -- super expensive tickets for 20% of the house, the remaining 80% at $25. latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2011/04/prince-keeps-things-affordable-at-the-forum-at-25-but-how-close-does-that-get-you.htmlMakes sense to me because the close seat end up with the brokers anyway and the prices are sky high. I will probably have to pay $1,000 for my next Adam concert -- cause I need really a good seat. (Notice no S on that!)

Had a great dinner tonight with family & friends to celebrate two things! 1. My Mom's 71st "B-Day!" and 2. My nephew Justin's "Going Away Party" (He's moving to Sweden to play professional baseball there). Had a wonderful time! My family is too funny, fun & just plain stupid, at times! I told Justin that I'm coming over to see him! I want to see the Scandinavian countries!

I will probably have to pay $1,000 for my next Adam concert -- cause I need really a good seat. (Notice no S on that!) There were only 2 prices for regular tickets for his first 3 LA shows. $25 or $206. Then there were 2 levels of VIP, $500 and $733. All the prices included the fees upfront. The 500 and 733 tickets are all on the floor, around the stage. Very weird stage configuration. I went on-line right when the tickets went on sale and got a 3 minute wait that timed out. When I went back in there was a 15 minute wait. I had decided that I was only going to go if I could get the $25 tickets. So, I decided to phone in. It worked for Katy Perry, so I figured worth a try. Got through right away and got 3 tickets for $25, for April 22nd. They are in row 5 of the top level but the Forum is not as high up as Staples and they are facing what I think is the front of the stage, so they should be pretty good. Obviously, the VIP are subsidizing my tickets! Yay, for the VIP tickets!!!

Found out tonight at Mom's B-Day dinner that my niece Brooke is moving to Santa Monica CA to go to college in Long Beach CA! Closer to dance things for her! GO BROOKE! (I'm so proud of her!) ;D
ETA - Her and her best friend (who attends Loyola Marymount), will be sharing a place!
