I love the Hendrix quote. I've had it as a bumper sticker on my car for several years.
Love the bad influence video!! Def one of my favorite fan videos ever created. makes me want to go back and watch some idol tour videos honestly. That 15 minute performance was a tour de force and a snapshot of what Adam was capable of and he certainly went above and beyond that on the Glam Nation Tour.

I have a winter emergency kit in my car with blanket, hat, scarf, to keep warm, couple bottles water, snax. Never know when you'll go off the road, or get stuck in a blizzard. :( Add: Copy of deluxe edition FYE and acoustic cd, portable CD player, and a 32-pack of AA batteries. Thank you. I will add those items to my annual hurricane emergency pack. ETA: Adam Aftermath Remix has been in my head for the last several days. This remix is really good. I can't seem to get enough of it. The message of the song is so poignant, but the remix arrangement is just so uplifting and happy. I coudln't imagine Aftermath as remix, but this song exceeds all my expectaions. Do you know what I mean?

I read that you just need the person's email address; you put that in where it asks for email and then use all your own information (financial, etc.). The d/l will go to that person's email. Thanks Susie! That's a much better way! ;D There is only one safety concern with this that is important to know. If you are gifting to someone you don't know in real-life, the email Adam Official generates and sends w/ the link includes your real name and address. Some sites have set up gifting threads for the countries scorned by Adam Official. (Could we do that here if folks want?). I was participating in the one on hooplamagnet: community.livejournal.com/hooplamagnet/119627.htmlAnd how I did it was after paying for the download, and entering my (non RL) email address, I clicked the purchase button, then copied the URL the www.sonymusicdigital.com/adam-lambert/orders/xxxxxxx(whatever the order number is) which appears at the top of my browser. I emailed this link to the reciept. Note, I was careful NOT to click on the download button on this page on AO. Second way to do this is: click on the purchase button, then close the window which appears. Look in your email and find the email just sent to you from AO which contains the order number for that download. Delete out your personal info and forward that email to the recipient. Either way it doesn't seem to matter what country you send the link/email to, it will work for them to do one download.

OK, he dm'd me the link. let's see if I can embed. He talks a little tech, but ah, memories. And I got a shout-out. (The person he's talking about in the front row is me.) His laugh is infectious, isn't it? Robert says, "sensual, sexual, exciting...and the voice, the voice, the voice". and "how can you improve on perfection?" "it was an experience". "something magical" "exhilarating" Thanks for this video, Pastababy. Love it. Robert seems like he'd be so much fun to be around. He has great positive energy around him and I'd love to check him out on YT. He seemed so happy talking about the show he experienced and the joy that is AFL! And you're right....his laugh is 'infectious'!!

"something magical" "exhilarating" The last four or five minutes of this really brought back the essence of GNT for me. He really nailed it. The vid got out of sync towards the end, but not a big deal. His sincerity and passion are so genuine. Amazing how hearing those clips from Allison got me excited too. Like Pavlov; I hear that music and think I'm going to see/hear Adam! But no ... Love hearing other singers react to him. In April 2009, I was taking a class from a woman who was also a singer and a vocal coach (it wasn't a music class). I had just become full-blown obsessed with Adam a few weeks earlier. I wanted to ask if she had seen him and what she thought (she was VERY opinionated), but I didn't. :-/ She was the type to judge first and assess later, from my experience, and I didn't want to hear any negative opinions. Looking back, I wish I would have asked, because I do think she had a lot of knowledge and would have been very impressed.

And WORD to those of you who say, reassuringly, Adam always changes things up--the one thing we can rely on is the unexpected. I don't care what he does with the next album--I have full faith in him that it will be simply wonderful--but I do have one specific wish: please let it be, if only in parts, weird. I love that Adam is happy to be weird sometimes, just as I love that he's happy to be mainstream and accessible and easy to like. I love the combination. And I truly madly hope that he feels free to keep it weird, on occasion, going forward. Coming from a city whose unofficial motto is "keep Portland weird" I totally agree with this. Weird is interesting, weird pushes boundaries, weird is contradictary and complex and unpredictable. Art (at least non-derivative art) is weird. Adam (regardless of how he choses to dress and do his hair and sing at any particular time) is a weird and wonderful person and will no doubt continue to be. I also reject any assumptions that a cleaner cut style reflects "maturity". People clothe and adorn themselves to feel beautiful and strong. I feel beautiful and strong in black boots that lace up to my knees, gothic jackets, and artsy vintage skirts. Put me in a girlie sundress and summer sandals and I feel awkward and exposed. Although I may well be the only person on #teambigeargaugesarecool, and look forward to sleeve tattoo action, I'm equally happy and delighted by the Adam we just saw on AI, because I recognize it as a choice he made, not that was made for him. And just 'cause I'm feeling my oats today, I'll leave this quote from Adam's Hollywood Reporter interview: www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/adam-lambert-promises-campy-more-166821
