Sometimes other singers or musicians pop up in discussions Adam related. Then, the discussion veers off into new directions having nothing to do with Adam. If you want to discuss your favorite singer, song, performance, video, appearance, or controversy and IT IS NOT ADAM OR ADAM RELATED, you can do it here.

Funny you should start this thread today. Very early this morning I started a new playlist. Favorites Not Adamwww.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8wdt9PU1zxUBgsSWkz2ILP-rcQZ8xNP4I was listening to The Voice I had recorded last night. India Carney sang "Take Me to Church" and I was terribly disappointed. (Click on title) She sang the beginning of the song as one long run-on sentence she had to hurry and get through so she get to the big finish. I had to go back and listen to little Dan live those words. Yep! He still gives me goose bumps. Take Me To Church (Hozier Cover) - Melodores A CappellaRob sang this song like he was serving up samples of all 39 flavors of Baskin-Robbins before being carted off to the loony bin. The Voice 2015 Rob Taylor - Top 12: "I Put a Spell on You"

Fave songs: Nightwish : Wow, she can headbang! She has a great voice. I love the theatrics of the music, very dramatic and melodic...I dislike the stereotypical metal 'look' they have, but that just goes with that music, and we should always go beyond the look with music..From Finland? I'll try to check out the others when I have time..Thanks

Wow, she has amazing vocals. Ok, so she is Dutch. There some amazing female singers from Holland.. I really like Anneke van Giersbergen from The Gathering, well that's where I was introduced to her, she has moved on. Nightwish remind me, ever so slightly of Lacuna Coil, with their male/female vocals.

The other well known dutch female vocalists are also Sharon den Adel (which I mentioned too here :D) and Simone Simons from Epica !
Anneke performed with WT couple of years ago also -

Beautiful vocals, both of them, really lovely...And wow, a full orchestra...Alison Goldfrapp said, if it was feasible, she would work with an orchestra all the time, but it's so expensive! Thanks for posting, pervy..

This is one of my favourite bands, featuring one of my favourite singer/songwriters, Maynard James Keenan...who also fronts Tool and A Perfect Circle...
I am dedicating it to to Vivlite, hope it feels like a big warm cuddle..

What a nice surprise! Good talk on other musicians on this thread. And I see that my fellow Dutchies are doing well here. In order to celebrate that fact, here is one of my favorites, not from Holland, but very close (Belgium). Stromae! I absolutely LOVE this song. And I love the way in which the original arrangement is reworked in the second vid to go with a whole orchestra. The absolute delight in singing and making music always makes me smile. For the non-French speakers amongst us: translation and analysis is here genius.com/1011792

nic42 I love that song! Great videos, I hadn't seen them before. ivaalambert - I like Nightwish too - but I guess I'm a little out of touch, cause I don't know any of their newer stuff - I'm still into "Walking in the Air", "Wanderlust" and that earlier stuff - with their 1st singer, I guess? See, I don't even know which singer sang on which album... I don't know if I have a favourite music/musician. OK, I'm partial to anything Adam-sung, , but other than that, I mean. I listen to a really wide variety of stuff and I like some bits and pieces of almost every genre. So, I'll just post my two latest "discoveries": 1. Loreena McKennitt - I found this Canadian artist a few months ago - she's really talented: sings, composes, plays the harp, I don't know what else... She's not new or anything, I just never knew about her until I just stumbled upon her rendition of "Tango to Evora", which is a song I love, as well. This song of hers in particular is really interesting - I like the lyrics so much.... 2. Marlon Roudette - I think he's from Trinidad or something like that - there's definitely a feel of that in this song - it's just a great summer jam, and again, I like the lyrics (yes, lyrics are really important to me liking a song )

Is there something in the water? Keep them coming! Stromae I know, because he sings in French and so translates well over here....they have been making a bit of a fuss about him here.
